Legal pay-per-call

Main article: Pay-per-call · Index: Verticals

Legal is the third-largest pay-per-call category in the public data available and is described by trade guides as the vertical with the highest case values.[1][2] REPORTED OfferVault data published by Ringba in September 2021 ranked legal third and lawyer fifth among categories.[1]

Who buys the calls

[edit]

eLocal names legal services as one of its five verticals, Astoria Company operates a branded attorney-leads site, Rapid Response Marketing lists legal services among its core areas, and Business of Apps names lawyers among the ready-made offers on networks.[3][4][5][6]

Why calls rather than forms

[edit]

AffNinja's assessment is that case value can be high, which is why a qualified intake call is worth more than a form, and it recommends local SEO, paid search and niche pages as the traffic sources that fit.[2] The qualifying outcome for a legal call is a case review, which AffNinja lists alongside booked appointments, quotes and transfers as the outcomes buyers pay for.[2]

Rules and compliance

[edit]

AffNinja rates the compliance risk of legal offers as high and warns against landing pages that imply affiliation with a law firm the caller is not actually reaching.[2] Call recording in the vertical is subject to the state consent rules summarised on the regulation page.[7] UNKNOWN Bar advertising rules that govern how firms may pay for referrals vary by state and are not described here because no primary source has yet been cited.[2]

What is not known

[edit]

UNKNOWN No source reviewed publishes an average payout per legal call; Business of Apps reports that some offers pay several hundred dollars for a single lead without naming the vertical.[6]
